She didn't sound too thrilled that he was asking for a drink though... But props to him for trying and saying he'll phone her *after* her date (making sure she didn't stay out?)  ;)

Found something similar, guy crankcalls lady from console to get a date. they talk about calling her for a good 30 minutes before it. its a gem!! https://apolloinrealtime.org/13/?t=012:23:21&ch=17
