Very little of the thousands of hours of Mission Control audio on the website has been heard or documented. As you find moments of interest, post them here for discussion.

I know it's practicing for picking up moon rocks, but the visual in that clean room makes it look like cat litter cleanup. :)

?? I listened from a minute before to a minute after - did I miss it? ??

All part of the official government record of the Apollo 13 mission.

"Spacewhippet" - what a great name. We've got a couple of whippets and I've had whippets all my life...

Sounds like the idea of stirring the cryos is proposed and accepted right here in this channel. CSM EECOM

Beatles not performing as a group anymore, made half a billion, reportedly will NOT use the money to start their own space program.
First mention about tax filings. Lovell asks whether it's true that Swigert's taxes were to pay for the ascent fuel for the LM. Kerwin confirms.
Lots more hilarity in there.

Shortly after posting that, I see this tweet from the NASA History Office:

I don't see any other posts about this:

* It's very cool that day-of-the-week matches between 1970 and 2020. E.g., April 11 is on a Saturday in both 1970 and 2020.

* Here in the second week of April, 2020, we are on Daylight Saving Time, but DST didn't begin in 1970 until April 26. So when we're watching Apollo 13 50-years-to-the-second later, we're *kind of* off by 60 minutes. As I type this, it's 4:03pm CST in 1970 but 4:03pm CDT in 2020.

Surgeon on the phone. I think he's talking about Mattingly being on site and potential risks.
Starts a bit before the time above.

General Discussion / Re: Join in progress has the wrong date

Match to current date/time works only for the span of the recordings, which started April 10, 1970 and go until the 17th or so. After that I think it just loops forever.

One audio feed at a time. Click on Photography and you'll hear space-earth (L) and CAPCOM (R). Click Mission Control Audio and pick which desk to listen to. My workaround is to have multiple browsers open (and multiple computers!)

The Astros just lost their 1970 home opener, 5-0. Hark Aaron hit a grand slam in the top of the 3rd.
