Weather and Recovery teasing each other about a message sent to the wrong place. Before their conversation starts you can hear Charlie Brown playing through the Recovery Assistant loop.

The entire CBS Evening News Broadcast was recorded through the audio loop! A little bit about the mission, mostly over-dramatizing issues caused by the last minute crew switch, as well as joking about Swigert's unpaid taxes. It really illustrates how little media attention this mission received before the explosion- More time is spent talking about the Vietnam War, Sea Otter Conservation, and even plant-based meat substitutes than is spent on Apollo 13!

Flight: Well what it amounts to is that since they're made by Chrysler it's 50,000 miles or 5 years - We've already exceeded the 50,000 miles

I'm guessing Joe is CapCom Joe Kerwin? Although he doesn't officially take over as CapCom until just before 22 hours GET, so it may be someone else.

Marge Slayton calls Deke from the Lovell's house to tell him that the income tax paperwork got delivered and has to be signed/mailed out today; Deke says he'll get an extension.
Marge also says that Marilyn had just gotten back from visiting Mrs. Lovell (Jim's mom), and asked if there were any updates, then said she'll be visiting Mary (presumably Mary Haise, Fred's wife) next.

Later, at 096:40:34 Deke makes a call to ask for an extension.
