This forum is for discussion about content found on https://apolloinrealtime.org

Very little of the thousands of hours of Mission Control audio on the website has been heard or documented. As you find moments of interest, post them here for discussion.

Apollo 17 Moments of Interest / Re: Really an Outstanding Mission !
« on: April 23, 2020, 01:51:36 pm »
Thanks very much. This forum is a new addition and I haven't integrated any mention of it into the Apollo 17 website yet, that's why it's empty. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

General Discussion / Re: CPU utilization while using site

Sounds like you've found a workaround. This website asks a lot of the computer running it. Older computers are going to have a tough time. Also, YouTube totally ignores quality directives sent to it and streams whatever it feels like. Frustrating.

Ideally, the website would not use youtube, but being a hobby project there's no way I could pay for that bandwidth!

PAO is in the left ear of the "main" audio--that is, the audio that plays with the youtube video when the mission control audio panel is closed.

I've had this request several times. Sadly, due to the limitations of the web, I can only enable one channel at a time.

General Discussion / Re: Download of a complete "mission".

You can totally do that! The 30-track audio that our team has restored is being uploaded by JSC to archive.org. It might already be there. Download the individual channels of each tape and throw them into your multitrack system and you should be good to go.

Sadly, no. All mission telemetry tapes were recycled years ago.

These kinds of problems are usually adblockers

You're using a set of unsupported browsers. I'm surprised it worked at all!

Chrome, Firefox preferred.

If cat litter was a good lunar simulant, NASA would be all over using it!

This is really interesting! I was thinking it sounded like Joe Kerwin and his wife Shirley Ann but I don't think the accent is right for it to be Joe.

Closing Reac values on a fuel cell. This was the scene in Apollo 13 where they "lost the moon".
